“Dr. Suka” is a traditionally based clinician and an alternative therapist and wellness consultant. She is an internationally known author, speaker, wellness educator, alcohol recovery specialist, Certified Past Life Therapist, pastoral counselor, radio show host, and consultant. She has been an RN for over 50 years specializing in the fields of Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Addictions, Wellness Education, and Pastoral Counseling. She is the author of “How to Quit Drinking for Good and Feel Good” and “Why Do I Feel This Way?” – Natural Healing for Optimal Health and Relief from Moods and Depression, plus ten additional books and DVDs.
Dr. Suka was a corporate trainer for 15 years, and President of Personal Growth Foundation, an educational organization that provided personal development programs to over 80,000 participants nationally.
She created and directed the highly successful Peers Optimal Health Program conducted in five centers in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN. In that program, over six hundred participants achieved improved health and weight loss as well as emotional, mental and spiritual upliftment. Pre-existing medical conditions were decreased or eliminated.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE: Dr. Suka has been a ski instructor, National Ski Patrolman, five-state National Ski Patrol First Aid Instructor certified in Mountain and Avalanche Rescue, First Aid Instructor and Disaster Representative for the American Red Cross and as a Professional Rescue Instructor of Minnesota.
She has completed three Citizen’s Police Academy programs, served as a Victim Advocate for a police department and chaplain for a Sheriff’s Department. She has worked as a nurse in two county jail systems and served as a hospice volunteer. Dr. Suka was a Hospital Chaplain for Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, CO.
She is currently a volunteer for TIP (Trauma Intervention Program) which partners with Hendersonville and Buncombe County emergency services departments. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Unity of the Blue Ridge and is an usher for the Flat Rock Playhouse.
